Last week we sat down with Carl Anso, President of Silverfern Landscape Group Inc. to chat about his experience with DOZR.

Silverfern Landscape Group is recognized across Southwestern Ontario for their attention to detail and top-notch landscape expertise. Carl’s company offers year-round services including snow and ice management, property maintenance, construction, landscape design and architecture, stonework, excavating and grading.

As a small business owner Carl was facing various growth challenges -- with so many projects on the go, needing the right equipment for the job was a priority. Carl started renting equipment through DOZR and immediately was put at ease. “DOZR allowed me to scale up and down without overhead challenges,” said Carl. He explains that not having the ownership costs of equipment allowed him to expand his business from residential to corporate. Silverfern Landscape Group now takes on big corporate projects including Pearle Hospitality, a Canadian leader in the hospitality industry. A variety of projects means access to several types of equipment is crucial. Renting on DOZR is fast and easy -- something Carl agrees with fully.

What started as a short-term pickup truck rental in the warmer months expanded to include loader rentals for snow removal. Carl’s business is continuing to grow year-over-year. “DOZR is there to help with everything … fixing things, insurance, all the details.” With no plans to slow down anytime soon and knows that DOZR has his back.

DOZR’s vision was created when co-founders Tim, Kevin and Erin were discussing a recurring concern within the construction industry while on a vacation booked through the sharing economy. They wanted to make their idle equipment work for them during the off season. DOZR was founded officially in late 2015. Tim continues to grow and challenge industry standards by creating efficient opportunities for the customer rental process. Tim holds a BHSc from the University of Western Ontario.
