Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist

We are looking for an ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & CREDIT SPECIALIST to join the finance team and assist in risk management, credit and collections. Excellent organizational skills and accuracy are key qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

In a typical day, you might:

  • A/R collections efforts including phone calls with customers to follow up on overdue accounts

  • Ensure customers are onboarded in accounting system for timely invoicing

  • Ensure all deposits are recorded in the accounting system by reconciling against bank deposits

  • Respond to customer email inquiries

  • Various reconciliations and analysis to support the finance function

  • Record bulk credit card payments received in accounting system including foreign exchange adjustments, and reconcile against month end reports

  • Assisting with Accounts Payable and various month-end tasks accounting tasks

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary accounting degree or diploma in Business Administration or Accounting

  • 2+ years’ relevant experience

  • Extensive experience with record keeping

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks

  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starting individual who can hit the ground running

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
